Well to cut a long story. My two best rams, had been arguing. I think it was a load of eaten spawns. Well the male (who is alot bigger) started to make the little female so scared she would hide in the plants at the top :-(

Well I moved him on his own to a 60L with corries, but now I feel sorry for him (even though he was making life for the female hell! ) He is sad and not eating, I want to reunite them but I don't know what to do!

The tank is so peaceful without him causing havoc and she is so happy

Help! please!

Have you tried feeding him on live food? and if that fails and nobody else can help colud try getting some dither fish to deter his attention away from her...

Well yes I'm doing that now, since he has been on his own all I feed him is live blood worms.

Thinking him of putting him back in the 70L community tank, would it make him angry though? change of territory etc. Last time I did it he was insane! :/ :(

and besides I just got a load of cute baby cardinals

Cardinals could be a lil risky, but you'd be better putting him with her than vice verser! yet again they could be the distraction he needs, i'd await more opinions... :fish:

Could always get her in breeding condition? Might distract him a little bit! :flex:

On the downside it will take atleast 2 weeks min!

Well...

My 70L communty tank:

female ram
3zebra danio
9 cardinal tetra babies 1.5cm (new since male left)
3 guppies

My 60L Cory tank

4 peppered corys
5-7 pygmy corys (not sure how many really)
my Male

I have got another tank, but that is a no no as far as cichlids are concerned

should work out fine as far as i can see, size of cardinals could be risky. but if you pull it off it'll make a very looking tank!

check my post for a great link

Gotta say thats a great link. I got some Ram fry from my couple once. I had taken the eggs away from them, bout 10 hatched, but they died :byebye:

Does anyone recon I should put the male with the female OR female with male?

If it was larger cichlids suppose i'd add him to her, so she knows the surroundings!or use a divider till they stop showin aggresion... but in this case i'd put her with him, thinking about it cory's sholud take some of the heat of the reunion.
plus don't wonna risk the tetras :fish:

Well lol I acted a bit quick (before your last post) and well added him into the community complete with baby tetras and well its all good!

His colour is the best ever and she is great, he immediatly started showing off to her and for the last couple hours they have been great, even clearing a new nest. I think its ok, besides I added a heap of new plants for evryone, even the cardinals seem ok with him :D

lol thanks, also found out why my eggs were fungussing pH 7.8 !!!!!!!

well lol that was a bit of a shock I must say, lazyness is never an excuse!
