What are you opinions on this fish??

I also think it has really poor eye sight lol.. agree or disagree??

I think all birchirs are amazing. :good:

And yeah, they do have bad eyesight lol

I think there ugly wierd things but very popular, even for me they are growing slowly more appealing.

I got a few little red bellies and it tried to eat them... it actually had one half way in its mouth.... iv heard that they live really peacefully togeather if grown up togeather... im going to try it and see how it goes... my Senegal Bichir is like 6 inches long.. who thinks this will work or fail??

iv had them togeather for a month now and they seem to be doing good... really good actually lol... i woke up one morning and they were in the corner togather just chilling

When i see most still pictures of im not that turned onto them, but seeing them in motion and how they act is very neat. If only i had the tank.

they are really fun... especially when u feed them... they eat like a snake... I actually want to just get a tank of them... They are definatly something different from regular fish... thats why i got him and some red bellies... sooo unique

If you are talking about red bellied pirahanas I guarantee it fails one day. They should be kept species only.

I think they are awesome and they eat anything at most half their size, sometimes bigger.

The bichirs or pirhanas lol? Seriously though, I keep both RBP's and bichirs, and I urge you to move your piranhas or fish to a dif tank as they will bite/kill it one day, you might not be there to see it. They eat scales of other fish in the wild so your just tempting them and gonna get your poor other fish stressed and killed.

As for the bichirs they are predatory too so dont keep them with anything small. They are great fish and are hand feed easily. just be careful with your fingers :hyper: I have 2 senegals, 1 that is albino and I feed them on pellets, frozen krill, frozen beefheart, and strips of lancefish. Dont use feeder fish with your bichir, its unnecessary and it will just get sick one day. Dont waste your money on feeders ever for that matter.
Be sure not to overfeed, 1 large meal a day once every 2-3 days is fine for bichirs, when in doubt, underfeed. After feeding you will see their stomachs stay very fat and full for a few days. I agree the vision isnt the best, but they dont need it at night and will take out small fish in no time so dont be fooled.

Good luck and do us and your fish a favor and isolate those RBP :good:
