Can I get some suggestions for stocking a 29 USG Semi-Aggressive Aquarium? Thanks in Advanced! :)

Josh

i have a 29g community with 3 angelfish, 5 blackskirts, 6 corys, and a rubber-lipped pleco. perfectly fine if you keep up on WC and over filter a bit.

6 barbs, maby some swordtails or something. and 6 corys?

or you might be able to do 2 shoals of 6 using 2 different types of barbs.

10 Tiger barbs
2 bolivian rams
a few apple snails if your pH is not acidic.
heavily planted
Done. :)

My 29g:
3 praecox rainbows
7 black phantoms
2 marbled hatchetfish
2 panda cories
6 black kuhli loaches
3 'white' neons
~30% WC every other week
heavily planted

If you like barbs, you should be able to get away with the stock I suggest so long as you've got excess filtration.

Try this, 6 Green Tiger Barbs, 6 Rosy Barbs, 6 Cory catfish and a BN pleco. You may be able to even add a few barbs if you really want to stretch it. Going by the "rule of thumb" this tank is overstocked, however the rule of thumb only applies to small fish, so you should be set.

Silvertipped Tetras are awsome looking and they can hold their own against Tiger Barbs. I have even seen mine swimming and playing together. Every once and a while they will get in a fight, but it is usually over a chunk of cucumber I drop in now and then, no harm done they keep on going.
