oh...oh....I wish I could do it....to save $$$ on electricity. But i enjoy watching them. good luck and I hope someone will give them a forever home.

exactly.....this is something i may have to do this summer. Its raising my electric double due to winter. ugh. over 300 hundreds dollar, used to be 100 apprx. ugh
 
also, I am going into aquaponic to use fish and growing veg. this summer. I got a pretty good idea of how to set it up with tanks etc....but one problem is cold fish will need to stay at a chill, not frozen temp in the winter. so may have to bury the tank deep down more than 3 feet...4 ft is max. due to not being on the frozen depth.

sorry to hear you are quitting the hobby. sometimes i think about getting rid of the fish to have more room for my hermit crabs or frogs or something. but i know i could never bring myself to doing it.
