Well one of my balas unexpectedly died last night. He went into a frenzy and ran into a bunch of things whihc was actually uncharacteristic of this bala and then jus went belly up and died. I was shocked it was after i jus finished cleaning a filter and vaccuming the gravel. Today one of my other balas did the same thing but recovered . He still isnt swiming normally but is alive. Also all of my fish aren't really eating. Even my oscar is hesitant to eat his pellets and will only have 1. My algae eater doesnt even appear to really be eating. I hav no idea what is going on i didnt do anything different this time in cleaning. I think its obvious i hvae a parasite or something alongthose lines. Does anyone have any idea what could be going on?

Ammonia:0 Nitrite:0 Nitrate:20 PH:6.5 (has been there since ive had the tank)

If there no grains of salt on the fish, and no visable symtoms could be flukes.
Check the anus of the fish to make sure it's not red and inflamed or enlarged.
Darting about can be parasites, any signs of flicking and rubbing.
Do the fish spit there food out.
Also any signs of increased breathing.

No signs of any of this, but the oscar did spit out one of the pellets or at least a little bit of it. The fish just seem lazy and havent been eating normally these last few days. In fact the balas or clown loaches havent eaten at all and neither had the oscar really. When you say flicking what do you mean?

Where the fish rubs itself on ornaments or plants.
Told you a while ago you could be dealing with a parasite with them darting around, but you only added melafix.

but you only added melafix.

to his credit, he's from the States. There are actually very few medicines readily available where he is.

In the states we can mail order just about anything --when it's obviously too late, but as for commercially available supplies, there's almost nil. Pretty much what we have in the States are quite a few stores that sell a bit of everything, but not enough of any one thing.

Good Luck, NS!

I will just say nshockeyplaya Wilder is great with advice on sick fish & is one of the first people on this site I would go to for advice :)

Thanks lol.
Are the gills red and inflamed, or pale with excess mucas, get you a link first just to make sure it is flukes.

Well Wilder I looked closely at all my fish and there doesnt seem to be any irregular breathing or anything wrong with thier gills. Ill describe the situation as best I can and ask you what you think. My oscar who is usually very active when I walk up to the tanks acting like oscars always do is jus sulking in the back corner, he doesnt eat and sometimes decides to bite the filter intake. My balas also just sulk around and one of them goes crazy if I even walk near the tank. More so than just the normal spazes that balas usually have. Sometimes hell go so crazy that hell turn himsle fupsidedown and start swimming very awkwardly. My clownloach barley comes out at all. None of them eat. What do you think?

Something going on.
What do you feed the fish?
Swimming upside down is swimbladder.
Sounds like there all stressed.
Can you get some pics up.
Found some info on not eating and they said tb, but I wouldnt rush to that conclusion with out other signs.
Signs of that desease there a list, going pale, going thin, bent spines, losing scales and swelling, fins falling apart.

Wilder with fish Tb fins falling apart would look like what?? (my mothers fish might of had fish TB but I don't really know)
