Now the uno only has a single light canopy and is priced £79.99 and the duo has a double light canopy and is priced at £99.99, i'm only going to be growing basic plants like hornwort and such and diy co2. Its more of a breeding tank for livebearers, i will put an extra fluval plus 2 in it, so two internal filters. The duo is £20 more but i think it has a better heater too. The uno is 13. 4 uk gallons and the duo is 18 uk gallons :D

I think i'm warming to the 18 uk gallons, gives me a bit of space for breeding, what do you think?

Well i have a problem as Hagen say the duo is 40cm high not 35cm, which creates a problem as the canopy will not fit under my cabinets, because you have to allow room for the canopy to also fit, which really takes it up to 47cm's then you need to to take the canopy on and off.

The uno at just £20 less doesn't look a very good deal compared to the duo, as its only single light canopy and has just a fluval thermal compact heater, does anyone rate these as good.

Does anyone have ideas on a different tank, as i'd like the 18 uk gallons but not going over 35cm's high, i can go length easy, my cabinets are at a height of 45cm's.

You are in the same boat as I was i had to fit my tank under a cabinet, and had to allow for removing the tank top off, i took the kitchen cuboard down in the end, you could have one made to fit under the cabinet.

It came to me this morning whilst laying in bed, it was staring me right in the face, i have a cove in my bedroom and all it has is junk in it, its a great place for an extra tank. So i can get the duo 600. I think i'll start looking for an external eheim 2211 classic aswell.

It is a pain when you have to move cabinets, its ok if its just one, but i have 3 all in a row. I leave this area to a bit lower and longer tanks. :D

Also i thought this place looked good for building tanks ----> http://www.tankbuilduk.com/Tank%20Prices.htm

Sounds like it would look cool in the cove.
