Hey all, was in my lfs yesterday and saw some nano marine tanks and made me wanna do one but I thought I'd try a nano tropical first
I don't want to go too small so am thinking a fluval ebi. I was just wondering if people thought I would be ok with 6 Pygmy corys and 2 Scarlett badis in it as well as a few crystal shrimp

Edit* I was also wondering what this tank is like (any good) and if anyone had modded the background that comes with it to hide the filter and heater for example cut it in half with a few intake holes and made a corner filter hide? Is that even possible would it all still work the same??

I have one of these as a planted tank using co2 and ferts. I removed the background to provide extra room and added a black background. I have a betta, 6 pygmy corydoras, 6 Vietnamese cardinals and some black crystal shrimp. It has been set up since November and seems to be working. Oh and I have replaced the lighting and now have 24w of T5s.

I'm planning on cutting the background in half adding a few holes and putting netting over the back to make a hiding space for the heater and the filter so they are not seen. Glad to know u have got a few fish in there as I was a little worried

Just be careful that the heater does not touch the foam. Mine is probably a little overstocked, but the standard filter tis good and my betta is a softie. I will get some pics up at some point this week. Good luck.

Yeah I hope it will have enough space which I think it will. I'm really looking forward to getting it
