does anyone know anything about seachems florite and seachems Onyx substrates? could the two be mixed to give an amazonia effect and what are the differences? Any information on the two besides for what it says on the pack?

Also, any substrate recomendations? are there better substrates i can buy for the price of seachems and would it work if i mixed it with ADA Amazonia aquasoil.

Both are supposed to be good, but flourite is a pig when first added as no matter how much you wash it is will cloud the water like there is no tomorrow.

Flourite black is really nice, they also have sand which is ideal if you want a finer grain, nice, about the same as Onyx snad, but it's not going to impact KH/GH(Onyx is namely Calcite, CaCO3).
It also looks better than Onyx/plain flourite.

ADA aqua soil is very nice.
It's better for plants.......as well as hobbyists that are more careful, less inclined to move their plants around a lot.
Otherwise, flourite etc might be a better solution.
