ok...now i've joind the band wagon.

It says on the bottle that each thread inside the lid is 1ml (for smaller doses)
is this acurate???

I have a 66L tank, so have been adding 1ml and a bit of Prime (5ml=200L), is there an easier way to do this??? maybe with a syringe may be better?

Aqua safe was much easier to dose out! :/

kinda answered my own question...lol
I just find it odd that you add so little?
Aqua safe smelt better too

Its super concentrated, hence people spend decent money on a big bottle, and it last for AGES>

Tesco sell a "Bob Martin" dechlor for about £2.99 (top respect for a supermarket chain to stock this) however a whole bottle is only enough to do 250ltrs, so its pretty weak. 10ml per 10 litres of water. 250ml bottle :(

I've not found anyone in my area that sells Prime but the one thing with all the de-chlorinators is the dosage. Working out how much you need for small water changes is a nightmare. I understand from things I've read here that you can't over dose on the stuff - I hope that is right

True, you cant really "overdose".

Its been suggested that the manufacturers "over dose" with the standard dosing anyway, so even with Prime, using the standard dose, you're probably over. Has no measureable effect that anyone has noticed.

I was a bit gutted when i bought the bottle from tesco and realised when i got home the entire bottle still wasnt enought to do my 340ltr :(

I use Prime and have brought 2ml syringes for doing smaller water changes

yep 500ml bottle fom ebay £13 odd a syringe with a bit of airline on the end so it can go to the bottom of the bottle job done :good:

On the smallest bottle of Prime it lists 2 drops per gallon. When I've used Prime I use 3 drops / gallon just in case.

I mostly use AquaLife Complete which is similar to Stress Coat but I think more concentrated -- dosage is 5 ml per 10 gallons. I just use a small squeeze/squirt in a gallon jug when dosing by the gallon.

I use a pipette.

I found Prime does smell worse than my old dechlor (Tetra, I think it was), but of course that'd be the case. It's so much more concentrated, and that goes for the smell as well. Personally, I'm happy to put up with a few seconds of bad smell when I think of all the money I'm saving. Besides, with all of the ammonia you've been dosing out to cycle your tank Hayz, Prime must smell like a summer meadow to you!

and from Boots for about 50p. I have a few 1ml ones and one 5ml one.

For the record, I bought a 250ml bottle of Prime when I first started cyclying my tank and 18 months later it still hasn't quite run out (nearly though). Fab stuff!
