When I redo my tank I hoped to layer seachem flourite with tetraplant complete and fine gravel. I wondered if anybody else uses this and if it works. I would also like to know the cheapest on-line shop for it. There is only one place in scotland that stocks it and it is in fife so any ideas wold be good.

Thanks for the advice it is very helpful when you are just starting out and you can do lots of research but there is nothing as good as advice from people who have had lots of experiance.

Just been looking at this my self mate. I was orginally going to go with Eco-Complete but I think this will give a more natural look.

This is the cheapest I have found it to be £20, 3 bags to UK mainland is free del. Im intending to use it on its own.

I use Flourite. Not sure if it was seachem or not. Probably.

Anyway, I mixed a one inch layer with sand, and then topped it with a layer of sand. Eventually some of it came up to the top. Which is fine. Doesn't matter to me.

The problem I've found is that my water has been getting cloudy. It's somehow related to my trace fertilizers, and is probably reacting to the iron from the flourite.
