Hey all, I just started adding Seachem Flourish Comprehensive to my tank, and I intend on doing it twice a week, so today would be the second dose of Flourish, but i was wondering: Should I do a water change to get rid of the old flourish possibly still left in there?

BTW- The leaves on the bottom of my Hornwort are turning white, and dieing, is that something to be worried about? My Hygrophila is growing wonderfully, I just thought Hornwort would too (the top of the Horwort is nice and green though).

A quick answer would be great, as I will be adding flourish today.

no you don`t need a water change, as the flourish would have been absorbed by your plants, and just your regular weekly water changes will prevent your tank becoming overdosed.

as for the hornwort is it getting enough light?

Thanks for the quick answer!

I run one Life-Glo 2 bulb in my 29 gallon tank, I know its not alot, but I'm not really trying to grow picky plants here (plus I add flourish). Perhaps the bottom leaves of the Hornwort don't get enough light? Also, I think it is worthy to note that I got these plants a couple days ago, and have been replanting them a lot lately, I just noticed the hornwort not looking so good, while the Hygrophila is growing quickly!

hornwort is usualy a the super trooper of all plants, if you`ve only just got them it may be wilting off and aclimatising to your tank, and if they`ve been rouged around a bit then the plant won`t be at its best...

just leave it alone to let it recover and see what happens, i doubt you`l get new leaves to grow where its already fallen off but the stems should grow longer and become bushyer

Thanks a lot!

One more thing to add: When I bought them, they were used as a floating plant in the store tank, but i wanted to root them in my tank, I can already see some roots growing, so that could be a sign of progress, i guess.

they hygro will rot but the hornwort won`t root. its a floating plant naturaly wraping around falen trees ect and forming huge matts
