The LFSs around here had run out of aquarium salt (except the HUGE bags used for SW tanks)....and I need some to treat a swordie with a small patch of fungus on his tail...he is otherwise normal :)

I found at the supermarket something called "Sea Rock Salt"...which had written on it "100% pure sea salt".....I vaguely remember reading on here that sea salt is OK to use in fish tanks in lieu of specialised aquarium salt.....is this true?

Also on the packet it had written "no additives".....

Is it safe?

Hi Angry_Platy :)

It sounds fine to me. It's the additives that can be a problem, but since this is pure salt, it's good.

I hope your fish gets well quickly. :D
