Anyone else got screwed up fish, Like my fish. On of my corries seems to think he is a Labyrinth Fish. And when my angel fish was still alive :rip: he thought he was a corrie he would suck up some gravel and spit it out.

How did your angel fish die? was it still in that small tank? sorry for ur loss though :X

That is completely normal fish behavior. Cories are able to breathe atmospheric air, and occasionally take a gulp of air. Almost all fish will sometimes scan the bottom and try to find food in the gravel.

P.T.

I have something similar, I have 2 bala sharks in my Malawi tank. The larger of the 2 thinks he is a Cichlid and always joins in chasing the other fish etc. This is especially funny when he chases the tank boss, a huge orange blotch zebra who actually seems to like this and lets him.

Crazy fish

My pleco has decided hes not a bottom feeder anymore. So when I feed flake he eats right off the surface. In fac tmy angel yanked a piece of food right out of his mouth this morning. She was like " back off. This is my feeding spot"

Cories are pretty much labyrinth fishes. As P.T. said, they do come up and get air.
Yes, they do come up for air - however, they are NOT labyrinth fish. In order to have that designation, a fish needs to have*insert drum roll here*.....

A labyrinth organ!

Cories do not have one. When they grab air, it is swallowed, and it is in the gut that oxygen is removed from the air.
