Scratchs On Tank

Hello

I have few scratchs are long half way across the tank in the middle under the tank.
The scratchs I can run the edge of my finger nail along the start of the scratchs. the tanks where brought from a local internet tank builders i email them they said that

Any scratches on the base of the tank are quite normal and will not affect its integrity

Is this ture my tank is 7x2x2 and 10mm glass

As long as they are scratches it shouldn't be a problem, bare in mind if you can feel them with your fingernail, they cant be easily repaired.

Although a small scratch on 10mm thick glass shouldn't be a problem.

Only get rid of scratches if you are really determined! I used Jewelers rouge for a 'feel it with a nail' scratch and it took me roughly an hour for each one with a power drill and polishing wheel!
I highly recomend you experiment with fine polishing grits and then finish off with the iron oxide stuff if you really determined.
