its fine for glass.

jus dont use it on plastic tanks.

scratches them really badly.

LOL seriously I have one of those scourer/sponges on long stick thingy and I also used an ordinary pan scourer when I was getting the tank clean after adding rocks/sand etc.

As for the 'why would I want to do that' ...well when you get older you'll understand it gives you major brownie points with your mum and you get better birthday pressies

yea i use it on all my tanks, fluval especially. damn algae on the glass.

my mum got to me jus intime when i had my plastic tank lol.

... And make sure you don't get any gravel stuck in between the the glass and the scouring pad when you acrub near the bottom of the tank. I was'nt paying attention once and I now have a beautiful 4 inch scratch on my glass

yeah i use a dish scrubber one with a handle as my arms ante long enough to reach to the bottom of the tank, didnt think of using one befor but i saw my lfs using one so thought ide try it .It dont scratch and reaches the parts my diddy arms cant, i use a vileda dish scrubber thing got it free with a floor brush
