Hi i have just noticed that one of my scissortails has a white mark on the top part of her mouth. She has no white spots anywhere else and the other fish (1 tiger barb, 1 leopard molly, 3 swordtails, 2 guppies plus 2 congo frogs) look ok. She seems to be eating fine just worried as have never seen anything like it before.
I told my daughter maybe the fish is growing a moustache :D lol.
Seriously though if anyone has any advise i would be very grateful

It MAY be that your fish has columnaris which is a bacterial infection and needs to be treated pronto.I had a swordtail with a white growth at its mouth which turned out to be this.I am no expert however and you may wish to post your question in the emergencies section where some of the disease experts will help.Good luck

Thanks for the advise i got some treatment from lfs and it has turned the tank a nice shade of blue. Its like watching the fish under the sea :D
Hope it works though :)
