Just a quick question

How many fish make a school?

and is it a case of the bigger the school the better
ie: would 20 cardinal tetras do better than 8 or does it not really matter once over some minimum value.

I think the perception of a "school" for aquarium keepers is rather less then how fish would live in the wild (for obvious reasons) lol.

Schooling fish can live in the thousands, and that is just not possible within the hobby. I would say if you want to keep schooling fish the larger the better, if the parameters are right.
