Scary For Me, But Amazing To See!

These are some photos I took of some newly hatched spiders in my garden. I am absolutely petrified of them . They were pretty amazing to watch though, and there are hundreds of them.

Cool arent they. I dont know what they are though.

I think they are lovely, great pics by the way. Look like the young of the common Garden spider (Araneus diadematus) to me. very nice

i love those, they sit in a little ball and then they spread everywhere if you poke them

What always amazes me is the way they disperse themselves when they are little.

They spin a bit of web, climb to a high spot, wait for a gust of wind and then let go.............and are then at the mercy of the wind.

If you are ever on a heath in late spring/early summer, lie down and look up (if you dare!) and look at all the bits of spider webs in the air - they're all baby spiders!

they love it if you put petro on top of them and light a match.

Ooh bugger...just brought back memories when i was little and playing in the garden and I knocked this bush thing and loads landed on me....urgh...ah i can feel them now...noooo!
