I have got my Pk "boy george" a new tank and he has been lording it up swimming about and flaring away.
So today i thought i would get a good photo of him flaring at a mirror oh how wrong i was lol i put the mirror next to his tank and he has become very dull showing his stress stripes and is currently hiding which has really surprised me  .
Now i was wondering will this being scared of his own reflection affect him breeding as i would like to have a go and breed bettas my other betta my CT "sharky" isnt looking too good atm and i am currently doing freshwater changes every other day as this has worked before many times for me when helping fish get back to full health but he is very aggressive so would this make sharky a better breeder.
So who would be best to breed ? :good:

as you probably know bettas dont get on with each other and are known to fight there reflection and a mirror does the same thing so he probably feels intimadated by his own reflection

Personally, I wouldn't even -think- of breeding a betta who is not in top condition. So that would rule out your "sharky." As for "boy george," I would see how he reacts to seeing a female. Hopefully he's not scared of girls, too!

I wouldnt dream of breeding a fish that isnt in top condition as they wont have the strengh or stamina to do anything lol.

I was gonna get a couple of girls soon anyway so once i do i shall have a go and see how he reacts :good:
