Unfortunately i am having to part with my lovely swordtail Swagger.
When i bought them about 6 month ago, i purchased what i thought was 3 females and 1 male, unfortunately Chutney my orange 'female' decided to be a male. I dont no how this mistake happened as i was certain he didn't have a gonopodium and certainly no sword at the time, unlike now he has a huge sword. Poor Swagger is getting bullied by Chutney as he is the dominant male, he also gets chased by my male platy Percy too. I even purchased one more female swordtail to see if this would help but it hasn't.

Fortunately for me, my uncle has a nice 180litre tropical tank that Swagger is going to move into so at least i can still visit him.

Isnt it horrible how attached we get to our fish! :(

Aww I'm sorry that happened to you. It's crazy how attached we get to our fish!

I have a 60 gallon that I started last december and I got 5 feeder goldfish as a testrun to get the cycle really going after 2 months of running it. I never realized that I would get attached to them. I kept them with my dinosaur bichirs since they couldnt do much harm being so small. Now they are bigger and I didnt want to let them go! So I have to go out and buy a whole new tank..

But at least your swordtail will be with your uncle so you can see him all the time! :)

The things we do for our fish!

he is beautiful, shame he has to go, i have the same problem, i currently have 2 males and a male in disguise  along with 5 females, my big pineapple picks on the smaller pineapple a bit but not enough to cause any damage/make him hide, and he tries to mate with the one in disguise
