saw some fish today a my lfs they looked a bit like angles but wernt there name began with A sorry i cart give u more info anyone know what they nite be?

Monos are great fish. Theyre very similar to angels in regards to size and personalities. Theres 2 forms of them just cant think of the name of the other at the moment. Theyre brackish water fish. When young they do well in freshwater but as they age they need more and more salt. Eggs are layed in freshwater tributaries where they hatch and hang around awhile. As they get older they move closer and closer to the ocean.

i believe the other is called mono sabae or something like that.

they freak me out, when i first saw on ei thought it was a mutated angel fish wtih no fins!
