yes i know it really shocked me. also i had to pay the full £5 for him even though he is in poor state.

just hoping somone will take him when better

Wow that really is a disgrace that state they let him get in. Would his fins grow back with some time?

ouch.....did you buy him? or did the shop give you him....how stores let that happen i dont know...

21RM his fins should go back within time. Got to keep his water clean and then to give him some meds to keep the fections

Razer121 yes i brought him because if i needed he would of been dead :( nope the shnop didnt think twice about giving him to me. yes i would like to know how the get like this :(

I's report them for that. Seriously. Get some good quality pictures of him and the state he's in to show.

Wel Im going to the shop tomorrow so will get a pic of what conditions they are kept in and the condition of the fish... There was and another one. He was a red VT and he has all his fins but not his tail fin it been bitten straight off

awwwww poor baby, i've seen so many like that and it really hurts to have to leave them there but i don't have the money to be setting up more tanks at the moment.

 :-( :(

It's very hard to tell but my guess would be a male VT, purely because thats what most shops have in.

Yes you do have a point Cara. I must admit this is the largest stock they have has for Bettas. They have them in all their tropical tanks enough if they cannot go with that fish. Though they havent put them with the Guppies yet - But as long as someone out there is able to buy a betta of me then I will contioue to rescue them

How would i go about reporting a shop and would they know it was me ?

You can report to the RSPCA :good: Animal abuse is animal abuse, if they don't know where fish should and shouldn't go in tanks then they shouldn't be owning a fish shop.

You are correct... They are gernaly alright knowing what fish can go with another fish. But going in there and seeing those poor dying or nip fish shocked me and was new for them... I did mention it to a member of staff while working and all they had to say was we are just waiting for some people to buy some bettas then they will be less to move around :D

I was like you shouldnt of ordered that many in first place and if you have that many you shouldnt be putting them in with those fish. Surely you could keep some out back till they get sold ?

sorry to be nosy but which petshop are these coming from? I can guess but would like to know. If it is the one Im thinking, then thinking of putting my own compliant in and would like to follow procedure.

p.s. also in relation to out back tanks, have asked on this before and again if one I am thinking of then no, that is all their tanks on display apparently. I wanted a special order at one point and they said only if a spare tank otherwise would have to collect them in the bag. Believe this is standard.
