Sand

Hi all
Just a quick question. Got a 25l tank. Am changing from gravel to sand. Want it just for a male. Will sand be ok or do they prefer gravel?
If sand ok wot else could I put in it.

Bettas don't prefer one or the other so its up to you. If the tank is cycled some pygmy cories are a good choice for tankmates, but bettas don't necessarily need or like tankmates. A larger tank would give you more options.
