Sand

hi all

got a 25l tank was wundering am going to change to sand will that be ok for a male betta. or do they prefer gravel ?
moving my fish out off there into my bigger tank, so will only have a male in it , could i put anything else in it with the male ?

I don't think it makes any difference. We have males on sand atm, they lie on it occasionally

i have sand with all my bettas, i have 1 tank that is gravel & sand and if the bettas do rest which isn't often they lie on the sand
