Sand Vs Gravel (posts Appreciated)

I couldn't vote on that one i'm afraid Torrean! It's too difficult to choose because it depends what fish are in the tank!

Gravel can be easily siliconed to objects to make them appear more natural

Gravel does not work quite as well when siliconing it to surfaces.

I have only had gravel in my tanks. But sand can look very effective in a big planted tank.

i previously always used gravel but recently i changed to sand and i think this is more beneficail to the fish i keep and looks better too. I have no problems keeping it clean and so long as it is stirred up regularly, no problems.

i chose gravel i dont care that sand winning but i goint to have to wait till i loose must of my gravel then i will get sand
