Sand substrate

I'm wondering about using a sand substrate (ala PFK this month!) - but how do you clean it???
Surely a gravel cleaner will just whisk all of that lovely sand straight into the bucket with the mess!

We covered this a while back, Cleaning sand

We've a few new member since then so maybe they might have used sand more 8)

I'm planning cories and neons anyway so I saw the article and thought AHA!!

I'm sure PFK says use the sand deeper than Fancyfins says though. So I'm still confuddled - bet I end up sticking to gravel
