sand substrate question

Right now i have a ten gallon salt water tank with sand substrate. I am making my 30 gallon salt water and all my salt fish are going in there. I want to make the ten fresh water again and i want to use sand substrate. Could i wash off the sand that i used in the salt tank and then use it in fresh or do i have to buy new sand?

I think new if its specially for salt but you might want a 2nd opinion

I agree. Sand is cheap, why risk it?
