Sand Or Gravel

depends on what fish you want e.g corys like sand better. also what colour substrate you want to have

I wouldnt want corys, i would go with a natural gravel (dorset natural pea gravel)

I am not going to be keeping bottom dwellers ( and i do know this). But which one is better for plant growth

sand id say personally... plants like dwarf hairgrass can send up shoots closer to one another?

i dont think either effect plant growth much but i like sand more and i think some people have had good results with sand in there tanks
