Hey I was just thinking about switching to sand.

if the bettas like it,
and how to clean it

if you can answer any of my questions i will be grateful

i do sand or none at all, poop and old food gets stuck inbetween the rocksof the gravel and then its gross to clean out, with sand it sits on top of the surface and you can siphon or turkey baster it out, bare bottoms are the easest for breeding and babies a wipe with a extra soft filter spong is all it takes to clean them....you can buy fish sand diff colors!, just wash it in a bucket till the water overflows clear, you can also use childrens play sand, but only the non colerd kind, the dies in that kind arnt made for fish, and play sand is very muddy so it takes a ton os work to clean it, for a small tank fish sand is worth the buy. :good:

I have both,
When planting my plants you cover the roots up with sand and then add the gravel ontop.

cool, i think i will have sand for my next tank.

yes apparently i have been diagnosed with *MTS*
