Sand In My New Tank

How much sand should i use in my Rekord 96 tank?
I have tried searching the forum, but nothin useful really.
I will stick a layer of gravel underneath then sand on top.

Just not usre about how much sand i should use, dont want and anerobic pocket things. Going to use silver sand from LFS too, is that ok?

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks

Why gravel under?, Are u having real plants, Rule normaly is around 1.5" with a weekly stir
