Sand Help

I'm setting up a planted tank with flourite, and sand (hopefully) but the problem is, the sand I've seen in stores are sold in huge packs. I just want a little lagoon-ish area for my corys. However, I saw these little packs of hermit crab sand. Can I use that instead?

Check out any local aquarium clubs. Since you're looking for a small portion, you maybe lucky and have someone give you some.

Is "hermit crab sand' useable, though? thanks! Ir maybe I might be able to bag a few sandwich bags worth of sand at a plaground...>_>;
