I decided that I want to use sand as a substrate in the future, and I truly would like to use some black, or near-black sand as a substrate, at that.
Is there any legal obligation to companies that sell aquarium sand, by which they must display on the packaging, whether their sand is treated with harsh chemicals, capable of spiking pH levels in water, or not?
