Sand Cont.

Welp, I got real frustrated with the cloudy water in my sand 10g, so I did a couple things. First, I changed about 50% of the water (note there are no fish in there). Waited about 4 hours. Then, I put a powerful filter on after no improvement. It's been on the tank for about 16 hours, and the water is still cloudy. What is going on with the sand? Also note, I did clean it several times.

After I added sand, my tank took 3-4 days to clear up all the way.

What kind of sand did you use. I washed my silica sand like nuts before putting it in the tank and still today the tank is cloudly.

it took about 30 straight minutes of rinsing the sand for it to finally settle..

you really just need to keep rinsing

My pool filter sand has never clouded, even when I put it in the first time. The most it did was make the water slightly hazy for about an hour or so and that was it.
