Sand Base?

I would like to have a sand base in my tank, I have clown loach pleco and guppies, mollies and 2 opaline gouramis and a snake looking thing, am i able to have sand in this set up? And also lighting what is peoples views on the moonlight thing? thanx

I have just seen the bit on sand which is very helpful, but can any1 tell me is sand ok for the fish i have listed?

Hi. I don't think you have to worry about putting sand in your tank if that's what you decided to do. Some fish like cory's like it but most of your fish aren't going to be digging in it anyway so you should be ok.

and as for moonlights, there definately worth it!!

i bought the ones below (im in the UK) and have never looked back.

got them on now and they look awesome!

I've got a sand substrate, and since I changed over from gravel my Corys love it!

in my brakish tank im doing a lyer on the bottom of gravel and marine sand on top.stone is a bulker

So with the sand is it quite easy to keep clean And I am going to invest in them lights they well nice, are the fish ok with them?

i normally turn em down before i go to bed but everyone sleeps fine neway.

i jus turn em down so I can sleep.
