Same Species Tank

I am setting up a new tank (fishless cycling begins tomorrow!). I would really like to have a tank with just guppies in it, or maybe just platties. Is this ok to do, or will I end up with a tank full of babies fish and fighting males in a few weeks?

it depends on the size of tank and number of fish!with livebearers its best to have 2 females to every male to spread out aggression but be prepared to be overrun by fry!

If you have the room to house loads of fry then no prob...if not it is better to let nature run its course and let the fry be eaten!
