Saltwater Media? Oppsss... Help?

Before asking on here in another post, I threw some mature media from my SW tank. Now I see that the bacteria do the same job, but they are a different "brand". Have I messed up my cycle? Should I pull the saltwater media out? Any thoughts would be great

The bacteria will 'work' in freshwater but will take time to survive in freshwater. Some of it will die so it will possible have little or no effect on your cycle except causing a wee Ammonia spike.

no, worst that could happen is the bacteria died and gave you a bit of ammonia, nothing to worry about.
