Are they all the same?

its a very good question

For a reef tank you want to get the best you can afford - take a look at h2Ocean

I use tropic marin pro reef salt. It's reasonably priced. It buffers ph, kh, calcium as well as replenishes vital trace elements and minerals but tbh I think all pro reef salt brands do.

Or there's reef crystals.
