Salt

I have Ich on one of my Guppies and have seen the thread. Changed the water and done the Vacumming but to add salt ? I have Neon and a new sucking fish.

Do you have a hospital tank that you can treat the guppy in? If not then you will have to be careful not to put the salt in directly,make sure it is well desolved before you put it in your tank. I had a ick case and had to treat with salt. My sieamese algea earter did not make it,but others did ok...they did not like the salt but got through it.

Is your sucking fish of the scaleless variety? They can get "burns" from salt.
As for the neons, they like softer water but I have used salt on mine in a hospital tank. If you can, use a hospital tank for treatments.
