Salt Bath For Dying Cockatoo Dwarf Cichlid

Is it worth doing a 15 minute salt bath for my cockatoo dwarf cichlid? He is very lathargic, hasn't been eating and is sat on the bottom all the time. I have absolutely no idea what is wrong with him but I have had an outbreak of an unknown disease in my tank recently that has killed several of my fish. Please help asap! Thanks

You could try treating in a garlic bath, i.e. crushed garlic in a jug of water with the fish in it, i've tried it with my discuss recently it has helped. also soak the food you feed them in water with crushed garlic before you give it them, it'll boost their immune system

I usually soak for about 20/30 mins, then pour the rest of the garlic water in the tank
