Salifert Vs. Api Ammonia Test Accuracy Results

Received my Salifert Ammonia test kit today and ran tests to compare to API readings. Results prior to weekly water change: Salifert - 0.25mg/l, API - 3.0mg/l. I also have a Seachem free Ammonia monitor that reads <.02mg/l. The Salifert test cost $16 plus shipping. It comes with 2 syringes, test vial and only uses 1 bottle of reagent. Results in 3.75 minutes. I did not expect such a difference.

If you're in the UK without a question of a doubt you're so much better off buying the Salifert kits, they're consistently more accurate and reliable.
