I currently have 1 pair of sajicas in a 45g with 2 yo yo loach 1 red finned shark and 1 upside down catfish. Would it be ok to add a pair of firemouth cichlids?

You can try it. Just keep in mind each time we mix new world cichlids we're adding fish that are naturally enemies - competitors and threats, and tension and stress rises in the tank. I wouldn't do it if the tank is less then four feet long, and I would be very careful if you have a pair that has established the tank because it make things more difficult. It would be wise to use a divider at first, IMO. Also keep in mind that the more territory taken up by the cichlids the less there is for your bottom dwellers.

How big are the sajicas right now?
