Sailfin Molly With Strange Babies

about 3 weeks ago my sailfin molly gave birth in a breeding tank (alone).there are 50% of really bright orange ones with orange eyes just like her & 50% dull grey ones which are growing at twice the speed as the orange ones.
To look at them you would say that they were 2 different fish .Is this normal as its my first litter & if so do they colour out at a later stage?

It means that the male she bred with was probably a black molly . It also could of been a diffrent type of molly, like a regular short-finned molly or a lyretail. you should be able to figure it out when the fry get bigger.

umm no.. black mollies are born black. it could possible be dalmation or silver mollies.

when my platy had babies all of them were orange except 2 which are mostly white and aren't developing a color. on a side note they are twice the size of the orange ones.
