I am interested in getting a few sail-fin mollies for a new fifty-gallon I recently aquired, and have a few questions.
---How many mollies could I fit in a fifty-gallon and still have plenty of extra swim-space for all of them (I hear they like a lot of room)?
---Reading up on them from a very reliable source, I read that "about a teaspoonful of Epsom salts and 2 teaspoonfuls of table salt per gallon of water seem to suit it perfectly." This is a lot of salt in comparison with what I'm used to--1/4 tsp. per gallon. Would swordtails be able to do okay in this amount of salt--I hoped to keep a few in there along with the mollies (do they do okay together?)?
---From what I know, Sail-Fin mollies like salt, plenty of greens, and just enough Methylene Blue to faintly tint the water. Is there anything else I need to know? The fish I am interested in buying are close to ten dollars each; I don't want them dying on me.

Thanks in advance!!!

The average is one inch of fish to every 1 gallon. I dont keep salt wit my swordies and they seem to do fine, but you have to keep in mind when u put salt in ur tank this limits the fish you can later put in. Fish without scales will probaly die, Such as plecos and such. I hope this helps.
