Sae In Open Top Planted Tank?

i believe they are jumpers, is that correct?
i have about 4" of tank/surround above the water level.

opinions if i can have SAE in my planted tank or not?

I had one in an open-topped tank for several months - then found him on the floor one morning. His replacement has been ok for a year - so I guess it depends on the fish!

You should keep more than one, they like to be kept in small groups. I have three, and would feel pretty bad keeping one on it's own after watching them.

I've seem them being pretty nippy being kept individually.
