I am very sad to report that I only have one molly baby left. I tried to do my best. I think maybe I should have acclimated them a little more carefully, but maybe they were just too sensitive. It is hard when you move fry that are only a few hours old. I am hoping the last one makes it ok. I suppose had I left them in the store they just would've gotten eaten anyway, but it is still very sad. My platy fry, in the same tank, seem to be doing fine. I only saw seven go up to eat the food this morning, but maybe the one was hiding or I just didn't see him in all the floating plants.
Oddly enough, with the mollies disappearing, I didn't see a single body...but the tank is full of snails and they are good scavengers. I still hold out hope that there may be a few "shy fry" hanging out in all the java moss since there are no actual bodies and it is hard to see everything w.o. draining the tank...but I suppose the chances of that are slim.
I am very, very sad. Some days I hate being a fish mommy.
