I have a sad sort of problem... I have too many Molly Fry and my other fish aren't eating them. Should I stop feeding my fish in the hopes they'll go hunting? I want to keep some of the fry, but at this point there are just to many of them
My local one doesn't take fish from at home breeders after a scare they had last year when someone sold them a sick one and it contaminated all the tanks and killed most of the fish (All the tanks are on one giant central filter there)
The closest lfs that takes them wont take them until they're at least 8 months old and i don't want to wait that long I only have a 5 gal nursery tank, and 28 molly fry cant all fit in there so I was going to keep a few in there but put the rest back in the tank and let nature take its course...
Well post in classified section on this forum or stick them on ebay, im sure somebody will take them, chances are unless you have a fish with a mouth big enough they won't get eaten, maybe time to split your males from your females Just remember its happened once it will happen again, so need to either re-think keeping mixed sex live bearers or set up a tank big enough to grow them big enough to send to lfs.
