Sad Day

I wish to report a death in the family.
 
Unfortunately one of my comets developed dropsy, I made the difficult decision to end its suffering before any other disease set in and before the fish was in too much pain. (And before it expired in the tank and caused issues for the tank mates.)
 
I had it for 2 years and it grew from a little under an inch to a little over 6 inches.
 
RIP big fellah.

Always a difficult decision to euthanise. You did the right thing for the fish.

For those wondering, I filled a bag with ice, added some water and then the fish. It was all over in under a minute. And a shot of Maker's Mark (also over ice) helped me.
