im just wondering cos i do 20% water change eveyday or every two days, but im still having lots of algae problems, esp BGA in my filters(arent they supposed to be in decline in well oxegenated places?). i also tried to limit feeding my fish, sometimes, not feeding them for a day.

i have 20 danios(it think they might be going soon..)
10 tiger barb
2 bala shark
3 siamese algae eater
1 red taild shrk
1 syno eupterus

tank size is 75 us gallon..near a window, but covered where its getting direct and indirect sunlight

thanx...

oh, water parameters are:

ammonia:0ppm
nitrite:0ppm
nitriate0-5ppm
Kh: 6
GH:15
thanx.

Have never done that many water changes unless I have had a big water quality problem.

Having read some books when I too had an algae problem they stated that too many water changes can encourage algae growth. Why not try some of the market treatments to erradicate the algae problem?
