4 weeks ago I upgraded my tank to a Jewul 190 Trigon due to my old tank developing a crack. Have had to cycle it fullky stocked, however, when I purchased it MLF did not put the correct filter in with it and the heater was broke.
They gave me a fluval4 to use while they ordered the original filter and heater.
Now, I have managed not to loose a fish in the 4 weeks I have been cycling the tank, they have now finally called after I gave them the ultimatum of it being here Saturday or they upgrade to the external filter I fancy to say it is in and I can collect.
I do NOT want to be doing 20% water changes every day after work for the rest of my life lol, so - is it ok to run both filters while the new one cycles?

Will it cycle quicker if I take some of sponge out of the old filter and place it in with the new one while running them both?

26 views and not one comment or bit of advice, not even a look at this link for the answer. Guess I will go this one alone, hope it works. Thanks.

i am currently seeding my external filter by running it along with the juwel internal. 3-4 weeks should do it before i take out the internal longer the better i suppose

i am just treating it as new filter/tank so allowing it to cycle
