Running A Second Filter.

Since adding plants to my tank i have noticed that the water is always slightly hazy and was wondering if i added a second filter (The type you add the poly wool to that sits on the bottom in the corner and has the airline attached) would that clear the water?

yes it would but a better method may be to add tights covering your filter inlet and on the outlet place a pipe filled with a little filter wool held in with tights then you don't increase your power bills. It will affect your pumps ability to push water through because of back flow.

The thing is i have an internal filter so it is all contained in one unit plus i already have an airline in the tank so no extra power would be required!

i've just got silty water and i've put a nother internal filter just with filter wool. i wont keep 2 filters in therere permanently, because of space but for when its messy i'll chuck it back in. If youve got somewhere to hide it out of view you could just leave it in too.
